Kathy Proctor has lived in Oregon most of her life. She graduated from Southern Oregon State College, now Southern Oregon University, in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After college her family moved to Salem where she began a career at SAIF Corporation. She started as a claims assistant and was promoted to senior claims adjuster primarily handling claims involving workers in the construction industry. Kathy left SAIF to attend Willamette University College of Law where she earned her J.D. and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution in 2005. During law school, Kathy clerked at the Washington County District Attorney’s office and was able to handle both bench and jury trials. Following law school, Kathy practiced appellate law in the area of workers’ compensation appeals.
Kathy is the founding partner of Proctor Law, PC which is located in Beaverton. Her firm handles domestic relations, elder law, probate, probate litigation, estate planning and other general matters. Kathy also volunteers her time with seniors and children. She is currently chair of the mentoring circle subcommittee with Oregon Women Lawyers.
